Buying JDrive for Hosting

Last updated 15 September 2026. These terms cover buying a licence for JotNotes JDrive for Hosting from JotNotes (Steven Higashi, trading as JotNotes). Using the software is covered by the licence.

What you buy

A licence key for JDrive for Hosting, for one storage band: up to 2 TB, 20 TB or 100 TB of files stored in total across all your servers. You install the software on your own servers. JotNotes does not host your service or your customers’ files.

Try it first

Every installation runs for 30 days without a key, with everything included. After that you can keep using it free for up to 100 GB stored in total across your servers, or buy a band. Please evaluate before you buy.

Price and billing

Prices are in US dollars, per month, as shown on the price list. Payment is taken by PayPal, which also accepts cards; JotNotes never sees your card details. Your subscription renews every month until you cancel it.

Your key

Your key is shown on the page after payment and emailed to your billing address. Each month’s payment issues a key valid until the end of that paid month plus 7 days. A server can receive the newer key by itself when it reports usage.

Growing past your band

If the storage across your servers stays above your band for three days in a row, we email you. Nothing stops working; buy the band above when you are ready.

Cancelling

Cancel at any time in your PayPal account. You will not be charged again, and your last key stays valid until it expires. When a key expires, the software stops creating new accounts and accepting new uploads. Every file already stored keeps opening, downloading and sharing.

Refunds

Because every installation includes a free 30-day evaluation, payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it. If you were charged by mistake, email jot@jotnotes.com within 14 days and we will put it right.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law.
