Is [Our file service] like Dropbox?

Use this page as a starting point for your own customer documentation. Replace [Our file service] and [Our company] with your names, and remove any feature that you switch off in a plan.

What it does

[Our file service] gives you a place to keep files online, organise them into folders, find them, share them with a link, and get them back from a web browser.

[Our company] runs the service on its own server. You use the same company for help and billing. There is no desktop or phone app, so files do not sync to a device automatically. Documents cannot be edited live by several people in the service.

Which service should I choose?

Choose [Our file service] if you want browser-based file storage run by [Our company].

Choose another service if you need automatic desktop sync, a phone app, or several people editing the same document at the same time.

Are my files private?

Every file starts in My Files. It appears under Public only when you publish it, and under Shared when you create a share link. You can stop a share link or take a public file down.

Deleted files go to Trash first. How long deleted files and earlier file versions are kept depends on your plan.
